Our Flag is a sacred thing to me heres a few thoughts on it and other things....
Have you ever wondered why the flag of the United States of America is folded 13 times when it is lowered or when it is folded and handed to the widow at the burial of a veteran? Here is the meaning of each of those folds and what it means to you.
The 'first fold' of our flag is a symbol of life.
The 'second fold' is a symbol of our belief in eternal life.
The 'third fold' is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing our ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of our country to attain peace throughout the world.
The 'fourth fold' represents our weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance.
The 'fifth fold' is a tribute to our country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, "Our Country, in dealing with other countries may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong." The 'sixth fold' is for where our hearts lie. It is with our heart that we pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.
The 'seventh fold' is a tribute to our Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that we protect our country and our flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.
The 'eighth fold' is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day, and to honor mother, for whom it flies on Mother's Day.
The 'ninth fold' is a tribute to womanhood; for it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded.
The 'tenth fold' is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of our country since they were first born.
The 'eleventh fold,' in the eyes of a Hebrew citizen represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon, and glorifies in their eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The 'twelfth fold,' in the eyes of a Christian citizen, represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in their eyes, God the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. When the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding us of our nation's motto, "In God We Trust.
The 'thirteenth fold" After the flag is completely folded and tucked in takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the sailors and marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for us the rights, privileges, and freedoms we enjoy today. The next time you see a flag ceremony honoring someone that has served our country, either in the Armed Forces or in our civilian services such as the Police Force or Fire Department, keep in mind the all important reasons behind each and every movement.
They have paid the ultimate sacrifice for all of us by honoring our flag and our Country.

Best gun for new shooter.
The Revolver or Auto controversy is the wrong question in my opinion.
"The prime fact is always the same. No matter what gun you have if you have to shoot you shoot the bastard untill hes not a threat". Then you escape to a safer location and call the police. That means hes either dead or "dying and incapacitated" If you shoot him several times while moving out of his line of sight keep looking at him and all around you for more threats then acertain whats next. Shoot more? Reload? Escape? If the initial encounter is over now you have to get out of there incase there are more bad guys or he recovers and shoots you. There is more to learn at shooting schools "Gunsite"(AZ) and "Front Sight" (NV)
Mostly revolvers offer dependability, accuracy and ease of use. Semi-Auto pistols generally give you more ammo 7-8 or 9 shots and a faster reload. Always carry a reload. Auto magazines are easy to carry. Revolver speed loaders are a little more bulky and a little clumsy to use. Sometimes its hard to get the bullets in the cylinder if they have sharp coners on them. Cor-Bon "Power-Ball" and more pointy style hollowpoints line up with the chambers more easly. A revolver that uses moon clips is easier to load than using speed loaders. Revolvers generally can shoot more powerfull bullets than Semi-Autos. Revolvers offer the new shooter less problems. Some of the newer models from Smith and Wesson have a rail under the barrel to attatch a light. There are laser sights for revolver and auto so thats a draw. The trigger can be bad or hard to pull on either. They can be lightend and smoothed up on either. It may be hard to pull the slide back on an Auto to load it. Know how to head shoot double action with the Revolver but every time you shoot single action you will be practicing that also.
For the new shooter a revolver I feel is best. For the average shooter it still may be best. Eh thats what I think. Our mind is good and you can learn to use anything but for that learning period "Revolver". The Glock style gun offers you a revolver like auto but the controls on the gun are almost useless to me. Small thin wafers that are hard to manipulate. You may not need them for self defense but you may have to use them so I feel they should be big enough to operate under stress. The biggest problem with an Auto is a jam. It will occur. When? Who knows!! You must know how to clear a jam.
Small revolvers only offer five shots. Six seven or eight shot revolvers are better. At home size is not that important the five shot is small kicks harder and reloads slower.
Part of self defense is running, escaping, getting away. That may be the best thing to do but youll never know untill your there in the middle of it. You don't have to shoot but if you do you should know how.

A Gun for Jason
A friend of mine is looking for his first handgun. He shoots some but he wants a good gun to take fishing and hiking. Powerful not to heavy or bulky and will carry well on his belt. He has 3 guns in mind. Slim Hog in 9mm or 45. Model 66 Smith 2.5inch

Kids comming over today.
Well my son and daughter in law are comming over today. I havent seen them for a while it will be a good day. I plan on taking daughter shooting. I have two hand guns I plan on teaching her to shoot. The first gun you should learn on is a .22 caliber. The bullet is called the .22 Long rifle. Its called that because it was a more powerefull round than it's predesessor's the .22 Long and the .22 Short. The picture is of the short long and long rifle cartridges sectioned to show how the projectiles and powder charges differ. Today you will primarily find the .22 Long Rifle round.
The other handgun is a revolver. A Ruger Blackhawk single action. Its a cowboy style gun. It is chambered in .357 Magnum but you can shoot low powered .38 Specials in it. That makes it OK for new shooters to learn on. The revolver style handgun has more weight hanging in front of your hand. This makes the gun steadier to hold.

My Favorite Automatic
I love the Colt Combat Commander(steel frame). I loved the Commander(aluminum frame) before I shot one. It is lighter and recoils more than I care for but its just as good a gun. For carrying thats what it was made for. A lighter gun period. They are 4 1/4 inch barrels as opposed to the 5 inch Government Model and to me it points smoother. I love its looks and the way it feels. It was a product of the government search for a new light weight pistol. The manufacturers submitted examples of their pistols, the Smith model 39, Colt Commander Browning High Power and some others. Well the idea was dropped and the Colt was sold to the public. Originally it was a 9mm, then .38super and .45. Now its only .45 and I had the steel one in 1975. Why I sold it is a lesson in no green grass over them hills. Now I have a 9mm and love shooting it. Not much recoil and cheaper ammo but the .45 is still king. You can load a 185 gr Hornady fmj wadcutter to about 1050fps. That shape bullet transfers alot of shock without expanding. Todays hollow points expand well if you need them to but I still love that Hornady wadcutter. If I think of something else Ill add it here.

happiness is a warm gun
Lets check out a gun or two. The Smith and Wesson 360 PD. I like the hammer and I like the fiber optic front sight. Its just a plastic tube that gathers light and the end focuses the light toward your eye. Even on overcast days. The hammer lets you make more accurate single shots if necessary. It is a good gun for a woman to carry. It is light so it wont drag you down carrying it all day. It is accurate and allows you to use a wide range of ammunition in .38 special and .357 magnum. The Magnums will kick very hard most people shoot +P .38 specials out of it.

I disagree with your opinion of the Arizona Law. It is a typical illegal loving opinion. What are people supposed to do when there are kidnappings every week and illegal aliens lying cheating and stealing every thing in sight?
This countrys border is more important than all the illegal aliens sneaking in here to lie cheat and steal. What do you want the US to do anex Mexico as a state? I see illegals as opportunists here to get money or benefits they dont deserve ANY WAY THEY CAN. They know there is no teeth in US immigration policy so they feel safe as they seek out help from people like you. They steal in our stores, they purchase false documents from criminals so they can get work. They abuse the welfare system with false social security numbers they buy from criminals. I resent you suggesting we need Immigration Reform. We need to enforce our laws and deport these criminals from our country My Country. We have immigration laws and these people you support DONT OBEY LAWS. If they cant obey our laws now what makes you think they will obey our laws when they are made instant citizens? You will get their vote with false ID.
My father inlaw came from Argentina legally. His family of four waited years in a paper line to become Americans. Our imigration system works. There is nothing wrong with it. We cant let every one come in all at once. Illegals aren't interested in becoming good US citizens or Americans they want money and they want it now. It upsets me so much that people like you use the illegals and their familys to get votes as you suppossedly support them. Proof that they are not interested in US citizenship can be seen in the flag they wave. The flags of countrys that won't support its own people. Flags of countrys that abuse their people. Why dont you go to Calderon and get him to support HIS people instead of sending them here? Calderon comes here and says Arizona has an unjust law, really?? Why dont you sneak into Mexico and see what happens to you!! Go ahead protest unjust treatment and poor conditions in front of his house without proper documents and see what happens to you. Islams war against Gods people.

Traffic school books Obama
Im sick of it all today. So much traffic it was hard to find a way to work. The worst part is you never know which freeway is going to be bad. The news tells you its slow here and you go there and its got to be worse becaus slow is not the word for "god why cant they move?"
School books arent much better. You go to the bookstore website and they dont have all the info you need to buy the right book at amazon. You have to buy it at school or you may get the wrong edition of book. Of course the school bookstore is more expensive than amazon. School sucks.
I see Obama is still at the lie cheat and steal trough. More BS from the main Socialist in Washington. Lie about your gun policy lie about Healthcare Welfare....hey why is Obama spending millions on lawyers to stop people from seeing his birth certificate? I mean they stop all inquires in the courts every time. WHY WOULD THEY HAVE TO DO THAT IF HES SO JOHNNY AMERICAN??? If it was a police investigation that would raise the flag of COVER-UP!! Ive got people mailing me all the time about that lying rat. Does anybody care in Washington??
Speaking of rats California just released a rapist and it was only 12hours before he tried to rape a female counselor. That is the new plan to save money. Color that kill and rape at will. Smart liberals. Arnolds Rats good name for them too.
Now we need to be careful we cant trust the Feds to protect our country. They have more desire to protect the rights of terrorists and illegal aliens and criminals than you and your kids. The Attorney General would rather put you and me on the terror watch list.
The last time I took a flight I looked at the so called TSA inspectors and what a bunch of losers. Now you never know who is a good observer and they do have a certain job to do but check this out. They take your drivers license and even though you have a english or scott name they look at it with a magnafying glass in the corner to see if its a real license or not. I mean they think that thing is an Elctron Microscope. You can have the whitest skin you ever saw red hair no beard blue eyes and be related to John wayne and these Inspectors scrutinize you like you had leprosy. I agree we need to check everyone but the sad thing is they wont find a terrorist or a bomb or anything. They spend too much time looking at you and me. This bozo made me take my laptop out of the carry case telling me it had to go through xray by itself. Hmm they cant look at it and tell if its wired to blow? The electric cord scares them. God what if I wore my exercise belt with its batteries and wires. You think they would shit marbles?
Im tired of it all its a bad day and to think tomorrow Obama will still be trying to destroy My Country in the name of world socialism.

Gun Safety vs Gun Waco Radio Hosts
The original idea of this blog was a pro-gun blog. I like guns. They are interesting. I like certain other gun blogs. The authors are knowledgable and entertaining. Firearm safety is always formost in all they write, all they do. They are good patriotic americans. They are law abiding citizens.
They are not gun wacos like some radio hosts blab about. I am sick of blowhards that do not know guns blabbing like they have full knowledge of gun things. They need gun instruction. Some day their household may be the target of a home invasion and I would not like to think of their families tied up wondering if they are going to die. Gun writers may have their own flavor of talk their own ideas that do not completley agree with others. But there is one thing they all preach, Gun Safety. The blabbing know nothing radio host will always talk about dangerous guns only ment to kill people and show everyone that they dont know squat. Those blowhards dont have a clue the guns they lament about are the only thing between them and a grisly death from one of Jerry Browns friends on death row. They will crow about honest gun owners shooting wildly all over the place buying and selling guns illegally . They bear false whitness against the very people who know that the only thing that makes anyone safe with any dangerous thing is the attitude and character of their heart and mind be it a car or dirt bike, a chain saw ax or gun. Gun safety is a belief practiced by knowledgable gun owners and taught to new owners by them.
The Four Rules:
1. All guns are always loaded.
(you dont need to think "is it safe?")
2. Never point a gun at anything you do not want to destroy.
(friends, your head, tv your brother sister etc.)
3. Never put your finger on the trigger untill your aiming at a target.
(that way you wont shoot your friend, head, tv brother sister etc.)
4. Always make sure you know what your target is and what is beyond it.
(that is my target whats beyond it, the neighbors kid on a atv or a house?)
